Neptune NT 485LM is a direct replacement for the Liftmaster 485LM battery. This battery is designed to be used as a Liftmaster and Chamberlain garage door opener battery backup, which allows for use when power is out, helping prevent lock-outs. The battery features Absorbant Glass Mat (AGM) technology for superior performance. Its valve-regulated, spill-proof construction allows for safe operation in any position.

The instructions for day-to-day battery replacement are as follows:

1. Disconnect power to the opener.
2. Using a Philips head screwdriver, remove the battery cover on the motor unit.
3. Remove the old battery and discard it.
4. Partially insert the new battery into the motor unit with the terminals facing out.
5. Connect the red (+) and black (-) wires from the motor unit to the corresponding terminals on the battery.
6. Replace the battery cover.
7. Reconnect the power.

The battery comes with a 2-year warranty. The manufacturer's warranty covers any quality-related issues, and the customer is responsible for shipping the battery to and from the warranty facility. After 30 days, only a replacement will be provided.

The Neptune NT 485LM is a 12-volt, 5-amp sealed lead-acid, high-capacity, rechargeable battery. Its dimensions are 3.54" in length, 2.76" in width, and 4.02" in height, with F1-N / F2-P terminals. This battery is compatible with LiftMaster 485LM, Chamberlain 4228, 2850, and 8550, as well as newer models.
